This web-portfolio is a collection of documents used by the
Post High School Planning Committee that was commissioned by the
Board of Education to accomplish the goal, "To develop and implement an exemplary post high school program based on a shared vision".

The recommendations of the committee are based on the premise that LFHS students and parents desire a personalized and responsive post high school planning experience that is based on the unique needs of each student.  Advising students should begin early and cover a deepth and breadth of information and be conveyed as part of a firmly established relationship with a counselor. The recommendations are fully explained in the document below.

Recommendations:
1.  Enhance the use of best practices for all counselors through professional development
2.  Improve external communication related to the post high school planning process to all
     stakeholders

3.  Improve internal communication related to post high school planning to all stakeholders
4.  Increase and improve the utilization of the College and Career Resource Center
5.  Increase opportunities to embed/support post high school planning into the school culture
6.  Enhance ability to assist students who are considering applications to highly selective schools
7.  Create a sustainable process of continuous improvement using student/parent feedback
8.  Investigate and improve developmentally appropriate opportunities to forge relationships and
     provide information to students during middle school

9.  Increase ability to provide support to determine college options for students of all abilities
10. Develop and increase system of resources and support for specialized post high school options
